Getting involved

We understand that finding a new church is like trying to find a new family – quite a challenge! We would like to help you as much as we can. We are happy for visitors just to hang with us for a season, but we are also open to meet with you and discuss any questions you may have. We don’t have a formal membership procedure but we do like to integrate new members in a small group as quickly as possible so that they are relationally connected to the church. If you already have friends or colleagues at Hillside you are welcome to visit their home group, but for those who are completely new, we find that they often feel more at home with other people who have joined recently (and have more space in their busy lives to make new friends).

To this end we have an orientation course called PULSE – Catching the heartbeat of Hillside – which starts approximately every three months with an introductory dinner at the home of the Lawtons. Those who want to find out more about the heart, vision and practices of Hillside are invited to join a 6 month Pulse group, which leads into a regular Hillside homegroup. You can find out when the next Pulse course is starting by contacting the Hillside office.
