Numbness healed

At the Mind, body and soul fair a lady came to our healing stand suffering from the side effects of chemotherapy, she had lost all feeling in her hands and feet and had a permanent burning sensation in her hands. First we prayed for her hands and the burning sensation diminished, after when we prayed again it had disappeared and the feeling in her fingers started to return. By the time we had finished praying there was no pain, she could feel with her fingers and she could feel that she was wearing shoes for the first time in a long time!
We were able to share with her that not only was He not angry with her but was holding out His hand to her. She had a radical encounter with the love of Jesus!

At the beginning of 2009 Ashley and Cati Tennant, who have been part of the eldership team since 2007, took on the portfolio of Kids’ Ministry in Hillside. They oversee the administration, curriculum development and teaching teams, as well as being very hands-on in the Sunday morning sessions which run throughout school terms. First time at the Mind,Body and Soul fair

It was my first time at the Mind Body and Soul Fair. And the experience of seeing Jesus healing people was heightened by the absurdity of the environment. Alongside us, soul pictures in rainbow coloured pastels for R200.00. Opposite a fairy statues stand. Then there was the crystals lady and the two wise looking Asian men wearing gold medallions and selling their guru's latest paperback. People ushered through the tunnel of spiritual experience bringing with them the aroma of mince samosas and incense. The sad irony is that enlightenment came at a price, but we were free, in both senses of the word.
I remember Ron the most. A typical guy. Beige shirt, blue jeans. Not someone you'd expect to find at a New Age Fair. Ron's wrist was bandaged. He couldn't lean on it, make a fist or unscrew a bottle cap. After we commanded the healing once, it still hurt, then we commanded again. Ron said that he could feel vibrations. And then, Ron could lean on it, makea fist and unscrew a carbonated bottle cap. Then we moved onto a disease in both Ron's feet. The latin name escapes me but symptomatically he couldn't feel his feet. So whenever he walked he was numb to his environment. Also, he said that on one part of the foot it felt like when a sock rolls up inside your shoe. Like he was walking on rolled cotton. He said that his friend had the same thing and had to have his foot amputated. So, a pretty serious disease. But we prayed in the name of a pretty serious God. During the process Ron said that if he didn't know better he'd say that we had dipped our hands in ice because he could feel a freezing coolness moving from the base of his foot up to his knees. Jesus healed Ron completely. It was beautiful.

SARS salvation

Following the Bethel School of Supernatural evangelism, I have prayed for a number of people and seen God heal them! Most of these people were already Christians and so I began asking God for salvations, as well as the healings, in my encounters with people. During a visit to the SARS office, I discovered that the elderly security guard at the entrance had pain in his ear that was so severe it kept him awake at night. I prayed for him and within a few seconds he reported that the pain was gone! This man was the first I prayed for who, subsequently, wanted to give his heart to Jesus! Some time later I met with the young night-time security guard at SARS and was able to minister to a long-standing emotional hurt in his life resulting in him wanting to meet Jesus and experience the Father's love. I prayed for the Holy Spirit to come upon him so that he could feel the presence of God. The Lord touched him and after that he gave his life to Jesus!
Later I asked Jesus to give me a Word of Knowledge when leading me to pray for someone. The next day, as I was leaving the supermarket, I felt a sharp pain in my left leg. It took me a few minutes to register that this was actually a Word of Knowledge! A young woman with a child was pushing a trolley out of the shop infront of me and I asked her if she had such a pain in her leg. When she asked me why I was asking her that, I explained that Jesus had shown me these symptoms and that He wanted to heal the person with this problem. She then confirmed that it was her. I prayed for her and she was healed! She expressed her gratitude that I had been obedient to what the Lord had shown me.

Oncologist amazed

I'm a 37 year old local person and just wanted to share a testimony: During one of the School of Supernatural Evangelism sessions someone called for people with blood disorders and problems with their blood to be prayed for. I stood up and was prayed for because I have Stage 3 breast cancer. I receive chemo every Friday and have had significantly deranged blood counts for the past 4 months. (My wcc have been in the region of 0.9 to 2 or so since May and are tested weekly lately.; My hb and many other parameters have been scewed along with the low counts.) I have been having a drug (injections) called Neupogen twice a week that assists in increasing my white blood count at minimum, but the counts have still remained low.
The week after the BSSE I did not have these injections, simply because the oncologist was not around to prescribe it for that week.; The first Friday after the BSSE weekend, my oncologist asked me to please tell him what I did differently that week;because he was totally amazed that my blood counts were all in range and my white cell count was up to 6.7 – unassisted!
I praise God for his awesome healing power!

Ulcer healed

I have had difficulties with my stomach for quite a few years now. During her preach one Sunday morning, Helen gave a word of knowledge about someone present at the meeting experiencing a stomach complaint (possibly ulcers) and she described specific symptoms, including stomach pain which wakes them at night. I responded, and as she laid hands on me and prayed for healing, I felt an immediate release from the pain. For the next month or so, I was symptom free.
With the busyness of life, however, came distractions which diverted me from remembering the miracle God had performed in my life. I stopped holding onto the scriptures He’d showed me and began to doubt the whole experience. Gradually my symptoms returned, more intensely than before. Various courses of medication were prescribed which failed to alleviate the pain or treat the problem and eventually the doctor suggested possible ulcerative damage (amongst other things) and recommended further investigations.
Feeling concerned and discouraged, I phoned Helen and asked her to pray for me. On the day of the procedure, I felt a peace and calmness I had never experienced before! For someone like me, finding peace is often an active and continual effort. The procedure went well and as I waited for the results of the tests that night, it was difficult to recognize myself in this place of freedom from all anxiety and worry! The doctor then told me that he had found absolutely nothing wrong with me at all…no inflammation, no lesions, no ulceration – just a perfectly healthy system! I had been healed!
God healed me that very first time Helen prayed for me at church, but I let go of His promise and doubted. I know He performed a miracle in my life. He is my faithful, compassionate and loving father, who looks out for me, takes care of me and is on my side, ‘rooting’ for me – every second of every day!

Wart disappears!

Our daughter Je’tiel had a wart burnt off her big toe, however it returned twice its size, about 1.5cm x 1cm and 0.5cm high. That’s pretty big for a 5-year olds toe, and it kept catching on her shoes and bleeding. The doctor said the only solution would be to cut it out again and it would be very painful because it was big and deep. Mandy wanted it to be removed before holidays, Je’tiel was terrified, and I felt it needed to be prayed over first.
Je’tiel is shy but we persuaded her to go up to the front after a service for prayer. Hilton and Tyron prayed for her. Whilst telling the story to her Nanna and Pa, she sighed and said, “they just prayed and prayed and all I wanted was a quick prayer and then to go and play with my friends outside”.
Over the next 3 weeks the wart shrunk and then disappeared completely. All that was left was a faint, slightly pink outline, so that all could see where it had been and how big it was, as a testimony of his power!
