Destiny

The heart of Hillside is that our presence should be a blessing to Hillcrest and its neighbours, including the rural communities which have been ravaged by poverty, unemployment and Aids. We have two projects initiated by Hillside – a scheme to feed families of grannies and orphans and an educational scheme modelled on the Ithemba Lethu project started by Glenridge Church.

We want to impact all people with the power of the gospel, rich and poor, in our area and reaching down into our city of Durban and beyond the borders of South Africa. We have longstanding partnerships with churches in Zimbabwe, Madagascar and Brazil and a desire to walk through the new doors of opportunity opening in South America and other continents. We believe that just as God sent His son into the world, we are sent into the nations to see His kingdom come. We want to make this commission a reality in which every Christian can participate.
